The leadership of the Church of God elected to embrace three key objectives during the period from September, 2008 until August, 2010. These objectives were prayer, the Great Commission, and a quest for trust. At the Symposium for the Great Commission, the constituency of the Church of God was challenged to launch out into the second initiative of these three: The Great Commission—The Solution. Every pastor in the Church of God is encouraged to involve their local church in the Biblical mandate of winning people to Jesus Christ. An important part of this effort is the Great Commission Study scheduled for either October/November 2009 or January/February 2010. A Power Kit of tremendous support materials has been developed to assist each pastor in implementing this initiative in his or her local church.
