In keeping with the YWEA mission and vision, the 2020 “YWEA Piercing the Darkness with the Light of the Gospel” will be sending the Light across Africa. By joining forces with the Girls Ministry Department, YWEA will make a lasting impact in the lives of girls and boys across Africa.
This project seeks to intersect with the vision of Church of God World Missions to “Send the Light to the Cities” to help establish a Ministry Training Center in Lomè, Togo, not only serving the nation but the entire Francophone (French speaking) region of the continent.
YWEA began 55 years ago as a cooperative effort between Youth & Discipleship and World Missions. Over 57 projects have been completed and over $38,000,000.00 raised by Church of God young people. It is the youth missions arm of the Youth & Discipleship department which includes:
Funding & Supporting Global Youth Ministries Building Ministry Training Centers Rescuing & Caring for Children Conducting Leadership & Discipleship Training Planting New Churches Inner City Outreach Building & Supporting Orphanages Disaster Relief
The main focus of the project is to renovate and renew the strategic church building and ministry in the city center of Lusaka, located in the heart of the city. This strategic African city will be forever changed! In addition, proceeds will enabled continued protection and provision for children throughout Africa in our orphanage homes.
